BikeBridge Strategy Session Debrief

Under the guidance of the board of directors, we hosted a strategic planning session to solicit new ideas and priorities for BikeBridge on January 21, 2017. In addition to 7 members of the BikeBridge board of directors, 7 other individuals joined in the session for either part or all of the afternoon.

Held over the course of an afternoon at Coulee Brewing Company, the group gathered to discuss what can be done to more broadly support cycling in Lethbridge and what areas of focus BikeBridge members feel are most important in the coming months and years.

It’s hard to believe that the end of the year is almost here! For Bikebridge, 2016 has been eventful! We’ve held a movie night, provided bike valet for Dragonboat and Tour of Alberta, participated in developing the Cycling Master Plan, helped with Jane’s Ride, and biked in the Whoop Up Days parade, just to name a few.

As we wind down for the year and head into the holidays, the BikeBridge wishes each of you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

2017 is starting to shape up to be eventful, too. Keep an eye on our website and our Facebook group to stay up to date on upcoming events.

Tour of Alberta

Thursday, September 1st, 11 a.m.–8 p.m., Galt Gardens, Downtown Lethbridge

Bikebridge is providing bike valet services again this year on race day. We’re still looking for volunteers so please contact us if you are interested in helping out!

Bike-in Film Night

Monday August 29th, 7 p.m.–9:30 p.m., Galt Gardens, Downtown Lethbridge

Bring your family and friends by bicycle to this outdoor movie night in the park. Relax and enjoy free popcorn and drinks while watching great cycling stories on a big outdoor screen. It’s hosted by our very own Tyler Stewart and Craig Churchward will be their performing free bike safety checks! Hope to see you there!
